Gia, AKA BabyGee, is a 27 year old singer-songwriter from The Woodlands, Tx. She inherited her love for music from her mother, who inspired her to become a singer during a performance she witnessed at the age of 5, in Tennessee.
At the age of 12, Gia began performing at local establishments and made a name for herself in Houston and the surrounding areas. She recorded a small demo, featuring classic covers such as "Walkin After Midnight" by Patsy Cline, which can still be heard on her Soundcloud page and was known for her ability to imitate many popular artists such as Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. She was chosen out of a 100,000 contestants to be in the top 100 across America to participate in a showcase, held in L.A. She began raising money to attend the event but was not able to go due to her father's heart condition.
Music took a back seat as the family recovered and Gia decided to focus on school.
Years later, she uploaded an a capella to a website called Looperman, which garnered much more attention than she ever could have imagined. Collab requests began to flood her inbox and soon, she found herself writing and singing once again and BabyGee was born.
After "Radio," written by BabyGee and composed by Greenblack, an electronic pop song comparing a controlling lover and a meddling passenger was released through the Brazilian online music magazine, Phouse, BabyGee began to make a comeback. She has released several songs since, all coming from different genres and dabbles in production, herself.
Now she spends her time freelance writing and recording for online producers around the world, being with her family and working.
